Administration


The Town Manager is appointed by the Town Council and holds the position of chief executive of the Town. The Town Manager holds the office at the pleasure of council and is responsible to the council for:

  • Efficient administration of the town affairs
  • General supervision of the construction, maintenance and operation of the town water system, streets, and sidewalks
  • Direct control of all work directed to be done by the council or any committee
  • Ensure that all terms and conditions imposed by law upon any public utility company or under any franchise in favor of the town or its inhabitants are faithfully kept and performed
  • Employ, manage, direct and discharge all employees of the town, subject to any constitutional or Charter limitations
  • Ensure that all local, state, and federal laws and regulations are met
  • Respond to citizen requests, issues and concern
